Chapter V – Electrical 2026 of the Quebec Construction Code (Chapter B-1.1, R. 2) took effect on March 26, 2026. Based on the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), 25th edition, as well as amendments specific to Quebec, the new regulations introduce several changes regarding the design and installation of electrical systems.
